Universal Extra Dimensions , Radiative Returns and the Inverse Problem at a Linear e + e − Collider
In a five-dimensional model with one Universal Extra Dimension (UED), signals for a pair of n = 1 Kaluza-Klein excitations could be easily observed at a future ee collider if the process in question is kinematically allowed. However, these signals would prove difficult to distinguish from those predicted in other models, such as those with an extended gauge symmetry or supersymmetry. A much bet...
متن کاملProbes Of Universal Extra Dimensions at Colliders ∗
In the Universal Extra Dimensions model of Appelquist, Cheng and Dobrescu, all of the Standard Model fields are placed in the bulk and thus have Kaluza-Klein(KK) excitations. These KK states can only be pair produced at colliders due to the tree-level conservation of KK number, with the lightest of them being stable and possibly having a mass as low as ' 350 − 400 GeV. After calculating the con...
متن کاملTwo universal extra dimensions and spinless photons at the ILC
We study the ILC phenomenology of (1,0) Kaluza-Klein (KK) modes along two universal extra dimensions compactified on the chiral square. We compute production cross sections of various (1,0) particles at the ILC with √ s = 1 TeV, focusing on decays of KK-leptons and the KK partner of hypercharge gauge boson down to the " spinless photon " which is the lightest KK particle. We contrast this model...
متن کاملTwo Universal Extra Dimensions
We review the main results of the study of the Standard model propagating in two universal extra dimensions. Gauge bosons give rise to heavy spin-1 and spin-0 particles. The latter constitute the lightest Kaluza-Klein (KK) particle in the level (1,0). The level (1,1) can be s-channel produced. The main signals at the Tevatron and the LHC will be several tt̄ resonances.
متن کاملMinimal Universal Extra Dimensions
Highly degenerate spectra associated with universal extra dimensions (UED) provide an interesting phenomenology not only from the point of view of cosmology and astrophysics, but also for colliders. We study these exotic signals for the simplest case, called minimal UED, where it is natural to find slow charged particles, displaced vertices, tracks with non-vanishing impact parameters, track ki...
